Job summary

A family-owned truck service company in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, is seeking a full-time CT Inspector. The role involves conducting required inspections and documenting various tank operations per USDOT regulations. Qualifications

• Full Certification as a CT Inspector with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Thorough knowledge of methods for Tank Inspections per USDOT standards.
• Valid Driver License; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform & document HM Inspections on various tankers.
• Conduct EPA Leak Tests on fuel tankers.
• Maintain testing equipment and documentation as per regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on trailers.

Job Duties

• Perform & document HM Inspections including Internal, External, Leakage, and thickness examinations on MC-306, MC-307, DOT-406, and DOT-407 tankers.
• Perform & document Method 27 EPA Leak Tests on MC-306 & DOT-406 fuel tankers.
• Perform & document Pressure Re-Tests on MC-306, MC-307, DOT-406, and DOT-407 tankers.
• Perform required repairs on various valves, vents, and pump equipment.
• Maintain all testing equipment required for Tank inspections and testing.
• Maintain all training as required by USDOT.
• Maintain all documentation as outlined by USDOT regulations.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs on all forms of trailers as needed.
• Represent Quality Truck Care Center in a professional manner, remaining friendly and courteous in all customer and coworker interactions.
• Wears proper personal protective equipment to protect from injury.
• Keeps work areas clean and free of clutter.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Full Certification as a CT Inspector (a minimum of 3 years of documentable experience in a qualified facility & a High School diploma).
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of methods required to perform Tank Inspections following current USDOT regulations and standards.
• Working knowledge and understanding of the safe and proper use of various testing equipment, gauges, and measuring devices required to properly complete tanker inspections.
• Valid Driver License; CDL is preferred but not required.
