Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist / Scrub Tech to scrub for surgical procedures and maintain a sterile field.

You will prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment, supporting the goals of the Surgery Center and collaborating with physicians and staff. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Surgical Technician program, appropriate certification, and prior ambulatory surgery center experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus surgical technician program or equivalent experience.
• Certification as required by state or center is expected.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for surgical procedures and assist surgical team.
• Maintain a sterile field and prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure efficient procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement activities within the center.

Certified Surgical Technologist / Scrub Tech

Responsibilities include scrubbing for surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile field, preparing supplies, instruments, and equipment related to procedures, supporting the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center, and participating in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Excellent teamwork and strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
