Job summary

Mercy Health in Paducah is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Paducah Medical Pavilion to support the surgical team during procedures. The role requires preparing sterile instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and assisting with pre- and post-operative activities.

An accredited Surgical Technology program and state certification are required, with BLS preferred and 1 year of perioperative experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology required.
• Certification as CST, NBSTA or NCCT required.
• BLS certification preferred.
• At least 1 year of perioperative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures.
• Prepares and maintains sterile supplies and instruments.
• Assists with pre- and post-procedure cleaning of the operating room.
• Performs skin prep and clipping as indicated.
