Responsibilities

• Prepares room/equipment based on patient's surgical needs.
• Implements housecleaning tasks for sanitation.
• Pulls appropriate supplies/equipment/instruments for procedure.
• Participates in “Time Out”.
• Assists surgeons and circulator as directed.
• Maintains sterile technique and counts instruments, sponges, and sharps.
• Cleans and handles instruments; restocks from SPD.
