Job summary

SCA Health on Merritt Island, FL is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our operating room team. The CST will function as a scrub person during operative procedures and assist with instrument preparation and room turnover.

Requirements include high school graduate, completion of an accredited CST program, preferred CST experience and current CST certification, and BLS within 90 days. The role offers hourly pay of $28–$32.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Prior CST experience preferred.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• Successful completion of BLS within 90 days of employment or current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments and transport them to the decontamination areas.
• Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
