Job summary

Columbus Regional Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the CVOR team in a busy operating room. You will scrub across Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Endovascular and general surgeries, supporting a team of surgeons and nurses in a high-volume setting.

The role requires an accredited Surgical Technology program, state license/certification and BLS within 30 days of hire. Compensation is hourly with shift differentials and a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Applied Science Surgical Technology from an accepted accredited program.
• Indiana License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Surgical Technology Certification.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CST role on the CVOR team, scrubbing Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Endovascular and other surgical specialties in the general Operating Room.

Hours per Week: 40.00 —- Shift Hours: 0630-1700

Additional details about schedule: includes a weekly and holiday on-call requirement-call is 50% of a 6-week call schedule; 1 hour response time for cardiovascular and 45 minute call response for peripheral vascular procedures

Our Operating Room is home to 12 + 1 rooms, conducting over 7,000 surgeries per year. From bariatric to gynecology to orthopedic to cardiovascular procedures, our surgical team is focused on creating a comfortable and positive experience for our patients and their families.

Fulfill CST role on the CVOR team, scrubbing both Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Endovascular, and all other surgical specialties in the general Operating Room.

• Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
• This position is hourly and is eligible for applicable shift differentials and Sunday/holiday premiums.
• In a status of at least 16 hours per week, employees are benefit eligible.

What is required for this position:

Upon hire, you must have:

• Associate's degree in Applied Science Surgical Technology from an accepted accredited program.
• Indiana License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Surgical Technology Certification with 6 months of hire.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
