HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the Cardiovascular Surgery team. You will prepare the surgical suite, assist during procedures, and help ensure patient safety in a fast-paced cardiac environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, sterility, and ongoing professional growth with access to advanced cardiac care technology and on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS within 30 days of start date.
• High School Graduate / GED.
• Vocational School Graduate.
• (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or (TS-C) Tech in Surgery - Certified.
• 1 year experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize the surgical suite with the right instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure safe, efficient procedures.
• Support patients with transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while protecting comfort, privacy, and safety.
• Scrub in and assist the surgeon by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating team needs.
• Monitor equipment and patient status throughout procedures, taking quick, effective action when needed.
• Maintain a sterile field, ensure thorough room turnover, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
