The role you'll contribute:

The Surgical Technologist II is a member of the healthcare team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse according to accepted clinical standards of care.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures
• Prepares and gowns sterile supplies, instruments, and medications/solutions needed for procedures
• Displays knowledge of procedures and patient positioning
• Performs appropriate counts with the circulator prior to the operation and before incision closure
• Gowns and gloves the surgeon and assistants

Qualifications:

The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:

• Experience with Neuro, Robotics, and/or Orthopedic surgeries required
• Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Commitment to work on a Specialty Surgical Team of Open Heart, NeuroSurgery, or Orthopedic
• CST certification obtained through the NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery - Certified (ST-C) through the NCCT / BLS
