Job summary

Texas Health Resources invites qualified Certified Surgical Technologists to join the CST - Main OR team at Texas Health Alliance in Fort Worth. This part-time role (24 hours) features day shifts from 6:30am to 3:00pm, with on-call requirements.

The department offers four ORs, a team-based culture, and comprehensive benefits including 401k and PTO. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, CST certification, and OR experience; LVN pathway may apply with CST credentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program or military training in surgical tech.
• 1 year OR experience preferred.
• CST – CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) certification required or equivalent.
• LVN upon hire is acceptable with CST credentials.
• BCLS certification required prior to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Intra-operatively displays skills and behavior for positive outcomes.
• Assist in perioperative nursing care planning with RN circulator.
• Preoperatively assist RN circulator in plan of care.
• Maintain professional nursing practice standards and accountability.
• Assist RN circulator post-operatively with duties and instrument handling.
• Support infection prevention and safety measures to minimize risk of contamination and injury.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement and age-appropriate patient care.
