Summary

The Certified Surgical Technologist reports to the OR Clinical Manager. The role is vital to the OR team, working under the supervision of the registered nurse and the surgeon's delegator authority to facilitate safe and effective surgical procedures. The technologist possesses expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques, handling instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgery. They understand the procedure, anticipate the surgeon's needs, and ensure quality patient care while maintaining a sterile field.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate Degree of Applied Science or Surgical Technology preferred
• Less than one (1) year of job-related experience, including clinicals taken during surgical technology program
• One (1) or more years of job-related experience preferred
• Certification in Surgical Technology (CST) or obtained within 6 months of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
