Job description

We Are Hiring

• Department: Labor & Delivery
• Schedule: PRN Night 6:45pm - 7am
• Hospital: Seton Medical Ctr Austin
• Location: 1201 West 38th Street, Austin, Texas 78705

What You Will Do

Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

• Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and solutions, and ensure the availability of sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
• Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Maintain organized instruments and monitor/tracks instrument counts throughout procedures.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer, from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• One or more of the following required:
• Surgical Tech credential from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire.
• Surgical Tech credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire.

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of relevant experience.

Additional Preferences

At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery CST experience, including C-sections, hysterectomy, etc. (Night shift)
