Job summary

The Certified Surgical Technologist II at Medical University of South Carolina will participate as a vital member of the operating room team, preparing sterile supplies and equipment for a range of surgical procedures while supporting direct patient care under supervision.

Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program is required, with CST certification and BLS certification maintained throughout employment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Credentialed as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the NBSTSA is required and must be maintained.
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) required for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Assist in room setup and turnover to ensure efficient operating room flow.
• Provide direct patient care support under supervision and adhere to procedural guidelines.
