Qualifications

• Technical Program graduate in Surgical Technology per CAAHEP or military program.
• Certification as CST or TS-C eligible as per qualifications.
• One year of surgical experience required.
• Demonstrated competency in multiple surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Gather, check, and open supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Set up sterile instruments, supplies, and medications/solutions.
• Assist with gowning, gloving, and draping the patient.
• Establish the sterile field and secure tubing, cords, and accessories.
• Participate in time-out verification of surgical site and patient.
• Prepare and anticipate additional instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain sterile technique and perform necessary counts.
• Safely manage and handle specimens.
• Maintain clean instruments for sterilization.
• Assist in room cleaning and preparation for next patient.
• Assist in patient positioning transfers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
