McLean Tysons Orthopedic Surgery Center in McLean, VA is hiring a full-time Certified Surgical Technologist to support surgeons and the clinical team in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The CST will prepare the sterile field, assist with patient positioning, instrument counts, and ensure safety and compliance with AORN guidelines. Requires a Surgical Technology program graduate and typically one year OR experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• One year OR experience preferred; ASC or orthopedic experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, and procedures.
• Attention to detail and patient safety.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Ability to anticipate surgical needs.
• Professionalism and reliability.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ASC environment.

Responsabilidades

• Review the surgical schedule and prepare case carts, instrumentation, and supplies.
• Set up the operating room according to surgeon preference cards and assist with positioning.
• Maintain the sterile field and practice aseptic technique.
• Count instruments, sponges, and sharps with the circulating nurse.
• Assist with equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Support safe handling of medications on the sterile field under RN guidance.
• Transport instruments to SPD and restock supplies for the next case.
• Document implants, medications, and equipment usage as required.
