Job summary

Medical Solutions Direct Hire in Kingman, AZ is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join the Operating Room team. The CST will prepare operating rooms, organize instruments, maintain aseptic technique, and anticipate the needs of the surgical team to promote safe patient care.

The role reports to the Surgical Services Manager/Charge Nurse, involves 40 hours per week, day shifts, and an ASAP start. A supportive team environment and ongoing opportunities for growth are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current CST certification through NBSTSA.
• Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent).
• 1-2 years of OR or surgical services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms according to the type of procedure.
• Gather, inspect, and organize instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Perform surgical counts with the circulating RN; ensure accountability for instruments, sponges, and sharps.
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure sterile field integrity at all times.
• Anticipate surgeon needs by passing instruments and supplies promptly.
• Assist with patient positioning, skin prep, and draping as needed.
• Clean, decontaminate, and reassemble instruments and equipment.
• Restock and prepare rooms for subsequent procedures.
