Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) in Florence, SC seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist II to join the operating room team. Under general supervision, you will prepare sterile supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures and perform room duties with direct patient care following established guidelines.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, CST credential, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or surgical technology military program.
• Credentialed as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (formerly LCC-ST).
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Job Description

Under general supervision, the Certified Surgical Technologist II functions as member of the operating room team to prepare sterile supplies and equipment used in the surgical procedures and perform appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care with adherence to established procedural guidelines. This position demonstrates knowledge and skills required to provide care and/or service appropriate to the level of development of patients, with consideration of the needs of patients’ families.

Additional Job Description
