Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Certified Surgical Technologist II functions as a member of the operating room team to prepare sterile supplies and equipment used in the surgical procedures and perform appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care with adherence to established procedural guidelines. The position demonstrates knowledge and skills required to provide care and/or service appropriate to the level of development of patients, with consideration of the needs of patients' families.

Job Details

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36. Work Shift: Day (United States of America). Scheduled Work Hours/Shift: 3‑12 hour shifts, weekend nights 6 p‑6 30 a, no call. Sign‑On Bonus: $10k for CSTs with 1‑year of experience.

Minimum Training and Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or surgical technology military program.
  • Minimum of two years’ work experience within an operating room setting.
  • Certification Level II, demonstrating a higher level of critical thinking and problem‑solving skills and meeting Level I Certified Surgical Technologist CVOR criteria.
Licensure, Certifications, Registrations
  • Credentialed as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (formerly LCC‑ST) and must be maintained.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
