Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) at our Lake Villa, IL location. The CST will function as a scrub person during operative and invasive procedures, prepare instruments, assist with room turnover, and support the surgical team to ensure patient safety and efficiency.

Requirements include a high school graduate, completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program, and a preference for CST certification and prior experience.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• Successful completion of BLS course within 90 days of employment or current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.
• Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Graduate or equivalent

Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program

Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred
