Job summary

SCA Health in Illinois is actively hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support our network of ambulatory surgical centers. The CST will function as a scrub person during operative procedures, ensure instruments are clean and prepared for processing, and assist with room turnover and post-procedure cleaning.

Prior CST experience and a CST certification are preferred. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited Surgical

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a recognized Surgical Technologist Program.
• Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• Successful completion of BLS within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments and transport to decontamination areas.
• Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative room and preparation for the next patient.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
