Day in the Life of a Surgical Tech

As an OR Scrub Technician, you will provide scrub assistance within the OR suite and be responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing surgical instruments according to manufacturer’s guidelines. You will support and adhere to Center policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program with current certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, the National Center for Competency Testing, or another approved surgical technologist certification program by the Kansas Department of State Health Service.
• Current BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• One-year prior experience.
• Surgical Technician certification.
