Great Falls Clinic Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to maintain a sterile field in the operating room and assist the surgical team with passing instruments, sutures, and sponges during procedures.

Responsibilities include prompt turnover of cases, case setup, and proper care of surgical instruments. The role requires involvement in delegated patient care duties and a call commitment.

Formación

• Graduate of Nursing or Surgical Technologist program.
• Surgical Technologist Certification and BLS status; Montana LPN license.
• Basic medical terminology and anatomy; asepsis; basic computer skills.

• Pass instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for maintaining the sterile field in the operating room, being constantly vigilant to see that proper aseptic techniques utilized to prevent contamination and infection. Required to assist the surgical team as the sterile member who passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery. Assists with prompt turnover of surgical cases, case setup and proper care of surgical instruments and equipment. Performs delegated patient care duties. Call required.

EDUCATION:

• Graduate of Nursing or Surgical Technologist program

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Surgical Technologist Certification
• BLS (or within 6 months of hire)
• Current Montana Nursing License (LPN only)

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Basic medical terminology and anatomy
• Asepsis and sterile technique
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills
