UMass Memorial Health is seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team in Marlborough, MA. The role involves supporting the surgeon by preparing instruments and sterile supplies, maintaining sterile technique and assisting with intraoperative needs throughout procedures.
The ideal candidate will have BLS and Surgical Technologist certification, a graduate from an approved program, and strong organizational/communication skills in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Hiring Range: $25.63 - $42.04
Schedule Details: Monday through Friday, On Call - Required, Weekends - Every Fourth Weekend
Scheduled Hours: 6:45am-5:15pm

The Surgical Tech handles the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. He/she has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care a during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.
