Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our operating rooms on a 36-hour rotating schedule. The role involves functioning as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures and supporting ongoing education and competency activities.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent, Surgical Technician Certification, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of surgical technician experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Surgical Technician Certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
• 1 year of Surgical Technician experience preferred.
• ARC/STSA-Accredited Surgical Technology Program and NBSTSA Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Participate in ongoing educational and competency activities.
• Precept staff to the surgical technician job duties, including surgical technicians, nurses and students.
