Job summary

vTech Solution is seeking a Certified OR Tech / Surgical Technologist (CST) to provide skilled perioperative support in the operating room and outpatient centers. The role requires on-call availability and floating between units to maintain sterile conditions and patient safety.

You will assist surgeons, prep rooms and instruments, participate in sterilization and inventory, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State license for Surgical Technologists.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential (NBSTSA or equivalent).
• Ability to float between surgical units including outpatient centers.
• Experience in short term acute care or trauma center environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The role involves floating between units, including the outpatient surgical center, to deliver efficient and effective perioperative care. The position requires on-call availability and collaboration with surgical teams to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.

• Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record system.
• Previous experience in a teaching hospital setting.
• Additional certifications related to perioperative nursing or surgical technology.

Special Considerations

• On-call required approximately 1x per week and 1 weekend every 6 weeks.
• No block schedules; flexibility in shift assignments is necessary.
• Patient care ratio expected to be 1:1 during surgical procedures.
• 48-hour workweek approval is not granted.
• Must adhere to hospital policies regarding scrub color and professional appearance.

Scheduling

Work schedule includes floating shifts across surgical units. On-call shifts required weekly and on weekends as scheduled. Shift assignments are determined based on unit needs without block scheduling.
