Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our surgical services team in Myrtle Beach, SC. The role involves scrub duties, patient preparation, and coordination of supplies for both emergency and elective procedures.

The ideal candidate will have completed a School of Surgical Technology and be Certified as a Surgical Technician, with NBSTSA certification and BCLS. OR experience is preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a School of Surgical Technology and Certified as a Certified Surgical Technician.
• Certification required through The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) is required.
• Two (2) year recent OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in nursing care and preparation of the surgical patient according to standards and policies.
• Performs scrub duties and related procedures.
• Assists in maintenance of all supplies.
• Provides assistance in emergency procedures as well as elective and scheduled cases.
• Assists in preparation, transportation and supervision of patients.
