Grand Strand Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to support the surgical services team in Myrtle Beach. You will assist in nursing care, perform scrub duties, and help prepare and transport patients across procedures.

The role emphasizes teamwork in a high-volume surgical department, with focus on safety, efficiency, and adherence to policy standards. Qualifications include NBSTSA certification and BCLS within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Education: Graduate of a School of Surgical Technology.
• Certified as NBSTSA Surgical Technician through NBSTSA.

Responsibilities

• Assists in nursing care and preparation of the surgical patient.
• Performs scrub duties and related procedures.
• Assists in the maintenance of all supplies.
• Provides assistance in emergency, elective and scheduled cases.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Assists in Nursing Care and preparation of the surgical patient by performance of routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of GSRMC, and the department of Surgical Services. Performs scrub duties and related procedures. Assists in the maintenance of all supplies. Provides assistance in emergency procedures as well as elective and scheduled cases. Assists in preparation, transportation and supervision of patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• Education: Graduate of a School of Surgical Technology

• Certified as a Certified Surgical Technician through The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
