Job description

Join to apply for the Certified Surgical Technologist role at Citizens Memorial.

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting for a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the team at our main hospital in Bolivar, Missouri.

The OR consists of 23 active surgeons performing an average of 372 surgeries/month across 10 operating room suites: 6 outpatient, 3 inpatient, and 1 C-section suite. Staff rotate between the main hospital OR and Douglas Medical Center based on scheduling needs. The team works across specialties including Orthopedics, Orthospine, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Urology, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, and Pain Management.

A typical day will include: Assisting with supplies, perioperative patient care, preparing the operating room and equipment, supporting physicians and nurses during procedures, and handling specimens. The Technologist maintains a sterile, safe environment, applies aseptic techniques, contributes to department operations, and performs other duties as assigned.

This position is: Full-time, four 10-hour days (7am-5:30pm), with rotating on-call duties including one weeknight and one weekend per month. The department observes 6 recognized holidays when it is closed, with an on-call team assigned.

Job Requirements:

1. Completion of a Surgical Technologist program with an Associate's Degree from an accredited institution.
2. Preferred 1 year of experience.
3. Skills in patient care, communication, organization, teamwork, and attention to detail.
4. NCCT or NBSTSA certification required.
