Role Overview: Certified Surgical Technologist

As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will be an active team member in the Operating Room, working under the supervision of the OR nurse. Your responsibilities include maintaining the sterile field, handling instrumentation, and supporting the surgical team during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of human growth, assessment, treatment, and care appropriate to patient ages.
• Promote customer service initiatives.
• Function as a scrub person during surgeries.
• Perform technical skills and procedures.
• Assist in intra-operative patient care with technical duties.
• Deliver compassionate, holistic care respecting patient dignity and rights.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist through NBSTSA – REQUIRED.
• 1-2 years of general surgery experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
