Job summary

Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to anticipate and assist in all surgical procedures. You will work with the RN in the OR to ensure a sterile environment and provide safe patient care.

The role requires CST certification, a High School diploma, and 1–3 years of experience. You must be able to lift heavy instrument trays and thrive in a team environment with varying personalities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• BS preferred.
• CST certification required.
• 1–3 years experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Knowledge of instrument names and how they are used; ability to hand off instruments efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Surgeon during procedures.
• Collaborate with the circulating nurse to ensure instruments, equipment, and supplies are ready for the case.
• Count instruments with the Circulating RN per protocol.
• Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Lift heavy instrument trays as needed.
