Job summary

AdventHealth Staffing is seeking a StaffFlex nurse to provide perioperative support in Lenexa, Kansas. This role offers flexible contract assignments with the possibility to convert to permanent staff and guaranteed hours, working 36-40 hours per week.

Pay is $45.50/hr with AdventHealth benefits as part of a faith-based health system. Ideal candidates have at least 2+ years of technical experience, a Technical/Vocational School credential (required), and BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred.

• Technical/Vocational School required.
• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases.
• Collects and labels specimens obtained during surgical procedures.
• Conducts instrument counts prior to surgical procedures.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Conducts field preparation and maintenance.
• Ensures the operating room is sterile.
• Monitors and tracks instrument counts throughout procedures.
• Maintains surgical instruments in an organized manner.
• Assists the team with safe and efficient operating room turnover times.
