Certified Surgical Technician Specialist CST Fulltime Nights

Fast-paced, high-volume Surgery department is looking for top skilled CSTs. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Forth Worth Harris, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Ft Worth, TX 76104

Work hours: Fulltime Nights 36 hrs/week 7p - 7a. Weekend and holiday requirements.

Minimum Experience: 2 Years recent experience in a surgical service specialty (robotics, cardiovascular/hearts, orthopedics, neurology) with at least 150 cases performed in that specialty.

Surgery Department highlights:
  • Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
  • Fast-Paced, high-volume department averaging 75 surgeries/day
  • Level I Trauma Candidate performing high-acuity and intense surgical procedures, providing excellent clinical experience
  • Specialties include Robotics, Complex spine and ortho trauma, and intricate plastic surgery cases
Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent and prior employment practicing surgical technology before September 1, 2009, or graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, vocational nurse program, or military training program in surgical technology.

Experience:

2 Years recent experience in a surgical service specialty with at least 150 cases performed.

Licenses and Certifications:
  • CST - Certified Surgical Technologist, upon hire
  • LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse, upon hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support, prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work effectively across disciplines, maintain confidentiality, handle multiple demands in a fast-paced environment, and respond to changing priorities.
