Job summary

Job Description

St. Mary's Medical Center is currently seeking a part timeCertified Surgical Tech. Under the supervision of a Staff Nurse or authorized designee, assists with the care of the patientin the Operating Room by scrubbing or circulating for most types of surgery. Assists thesurgeon and anesthetist within the limits of a technician's education. May perform somehousekeeping and preparation of supplies and instrumentation.

Requirements

Education Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent who has completed an organized course of Operating Roominstruction recognized by St. Mary's Medical Center.

Certification:

Associate of Surgical Technologist (AST) or National Center of Certification Testing (NCCT)

Completion of certification required within 1yr of graduating instructional course.

Manual dexterity. Must be extremely conscientious and have good physical and mental healthand stamina.
