Job summary

AdventHealth in Castle Rock, CO is seeking a Surgical Technologist/Tech role PRN to support pre-operative to postoperative tasks. Responsibilities include assisting with preparing, labeling, and handling specimens, maintaining sterile fields, and ensuring efficient turnover of the operating room.

The position requires a Technical/Vocational School credential, 2+ years of technical experience, BLS certification, with ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases.
• Collects and labels specimens obtained during surgical procedures.
• Conducts instrument counts prior to surgical procedures.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Maintains sterile field and field preparation.
• Ensures the operating room is sterile.
• Monitors instrument counts throughout procedures.
• Maintains surgical instruments in an organized manner.
• Assists the team with safe OR turnover times.
• Other duties as assigned.
