Uses technical and aseptic techniques to ensure the methodology complies with established sterile standards and procedures.

This Position Is Eligible For a Sign-on Bonus

• $10,000 sign-on bonus - for candidates with over 1 year of multi-specialty experience, paid out after successfully completing 6 months of employment.
• $5,000 sign-on bonus - for candidates with less than 1 year or single specialty experience, paid out after successfully completing 6 months of employment.

Education Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must also be a graduate of an accredited/approved program in surgical technology (or completed an Armed Forces medic or corpsmen program).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required Surgical Technician certification required (unless employed as a surgical technologist in a surgical facility on or before July 1, 2013).

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Knowledge And Skills

• Previous surgical tech experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively speak read and write English
• Ability to accurately interpret and use medical terminology and abbreviations
• Computer proficiency to access and enter computerized data/information.
• Effective interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with patients, families, physicians, and other hospital staff.
• Organizational skills to effectively set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work.

Compensation Range $38.94- $49.38
