Job summary

AdventHealth in Littleton, CO is seeking a Surgical Technologist for PRN/36-40 hrs per week. The role involves assisting the team in preoperative care, specimen handling and maintaining a sterile OR. You must have CST certification (NBSTSA) or equivalent, plus BLS and ACLS.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile operating room and equipment.
• Assist with positioning, draping and transport of patients.
• Support safe turnover times between procedures.

Job Details:

• Provides patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases.
• Collects and labels specimens obtained during surgical procedures.
• Conducts instrument counts prior to surgical procedures.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Conducts field preparation and maintenance.
• Ensures the operating room is sterile.
• Monitors and tracks instrument counts throughout procedures.
• Maintains surgical instruments in an organized manner.
• Assists the team with safe and efficient operating room turnover times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

Work Experience:

• 2+ years of technical experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• State Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) [Required] AND NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) [Required] OR Technician in Surgery TS-C (NCCT) [Required]

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
