Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a skilled CVOR Surgical Technologist for the WEST float team in a high-demand environment. You will prepare the operative field, assist the surgical team, and ensure safety through meticulous counts and sterile technique.

You will mentor new team members, stay current on surgical trends, and support across multiple Wellstar facilities. A strong CST/TS-C or LPN with surgical experience is required, with BLS certification and a minimum of 3 years in a hospital

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
• LPN with surgical experience required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required and/or TS-C.
• LPN accepted.
• BLS from AHA required.
• Minimum of 3 years in a hospital surgical setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical environment by setting up sterile fields and gathering instruments.
• Support the surgical team by anticipating needs and assisting with instrumentation.
• Perform surgical counts and support time-outs; maintain sterile technique.
• Foster quality care and safety through adherence to standards and improvements.
• Mentor and precept new team members; stay current on trends and tools.
• Assist with room turnover, inventory, and sterilization processes.
