Job summary

The Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to support surgical teams and ensure safe, efficient procedures.

Key duties include assisting with patient prep, instrument handling, counts, and specimen processing as needed. A CST credential, CPR‑BLS, and graduation from an accredited program are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) within twelve months of hire.
• CPR – Basic Life Support is required.
• Physical demands: lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery and maintains counts of instruments and supplies.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory if required.

The salary range for this position is $27.32 - $36.89 (Hourly Rate)

Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

• Receives and processes specimens, if required, for delivery to the laboratory.
