Job summary

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Certified Surgical Tech to join our surgical team in Johnstown. This full-time, on-site role offers a bonus up to $10,000 for eligible candidates and a mission-driven environment focused on patient care.

You will prepare the OR, assist with instrument setup, maintain sterile technique, and support surgeons throughout procedures. A strong team culture and ongoing professional development are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within one month from hire date.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent; Surgical technologists graduate from a surgical technology program.

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating room and sterile field; arranges instruments, linens and solutions.
• Operates equipment such as sterilizers, lights, suction machines and electrosurgical units.
• Maintains fluids and supplies for use during surgery.
• Prepares patients for surgery and transports them to the table.
• Scrubs and maintains sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Anticipates surgeon needs and passes instruments efficiently.
• Assists with specimens and dressings and disposes of waste.
• Cleans and restocks the operating room; adheres to safety standards.
