AdventHealth Porter in Denver, Colorado is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist in preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring readiness for subsequent procedures. The role involves handling instruments, supplies, and medications with strict adherence to protocol.

Responsibilities

• Assists with terminal cleaning of the operating room, prepares equipment, supplies, and instruments for the next patient.
• Prepares and sterilizes supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures, reviews and replaces supplies after a procedure, and discards expired medications per protocol.
• Performs other duties as assigned; sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures.
• Prepares solutions and medications, labels them properly, and reports amounts used for charting.
• Prepares back table and mayo stand, anticipating the needs of the surgeon using the surgeon’s preference card.
