Blue River Surgery Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a PRN Certified Surgical Tech to support the operating room under RN supervision. You will scrub, prepare the sterile field, and assist the surgeon during procedures while upholding sterile technique and patient safety.
The role is based in the Kansas City area at a state-of-the-art center with a strong benefits package and opportunities within the HCA network, located near I-435 and Holmes in South Kansas City.

As a Certified Surgical Tech, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will contribute to the company’s mission and vision by assisting with the provision of safe and effective nursing care in accordance with a defined scope of practice within the operating room. This may include: direct patient care and observation, scrubbing and assisting the surgeon at the operative field, surgical room turnover between cases, collection and recording of pertinent clinical data in the medical record and consistent collaboration with the Registered Nurse in clinical decision making.

Blue River Surgery Center is the newest member of the Surgery Ventures Group powered by HCA Healthcare opening in early 2024. This state-of-the-art facility will include five operating rooms and two specialty procedures rooms. The center will be staffed by a skilled team of registered nurses and OR techs. Our specialties will include orthopedics, GI, podiatry, general and vascular surgery. The Center is located in South Kansas City near I-435 and Holmes.
