Job Overview

Facilitate operative or invasive procedures by preparing sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment. Maintain the sterile field and support the surgical team throughout procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist during surgeries by assembling supplies and equipment.
  • Prepare and organize sterile supplies and instruments, perform surgical counts.
  • Maintain and ensure the sterility of the operative field, assist with draping, and provide instruments during surgery.
  • Handle specimens, label and report implanted devices, catheters, drains, etc.
  • Participate in pre- and post-procedure cleaning and setup.
  • Adhere to patient rights, assist in CPR, and participate in ongoing education and safety initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST, NBSTSA, TS-C, or NCCT).
  • Associate degree, vocational certification, or military training in Surgical Technology.
  • Minimum one year of perioperative or surgical experience preferred.
Additional Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Flexible scheduling, including on-call availability.
Work Environment

May include exposure to noise, bright lights, hazardous substances, body fluids, and physical altercations. Must follow universal precautions and use protective equipment.
