Job summary

North Cypress Surgery Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Surgical OR Technician. Under RN direction, you will assist with safe and effective nursing care in the operating room, including direct patient care, scrubbing, assisting the surgeon, turnover between cases, and documenting data.

Responsibilities include maintaining asepsis, preparing the suite, assisting with setup and turnover, and reporting needs to a supervisor.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program as required per facility practice and state regulatory requirement; otherwise preferred.
• Surgical Tech Certification is required.
• Direct patient care and scrubbing under RN supervision.
• Maintaining surgical asepsis during handling of instruments and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist the surgeon at the operative field.
• Prepare operative suite by gathering supplies, equipment, and instruments.
• Maintain asepsis in instrument handling and dressings during procedures.
• Assist in turnover of operating room suites between cases and clean equipment and surfaces.
• Prepare procedure room for next day and report needed items to supervisor.
