Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room. The role focuses on performing duties within the OR, maintaining cleanliness and efficiency of OR services, and providing patient care from neonate to geriatric populations.

The technologist will orient new staff to equipment and procedures and serve as a role model for others, upholding the system’s mission and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by NBSTSA.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs operating room duties.
• Maintains cleanliness and efficiency of OR services.
• Provides limited neonate through geriatric patient care.
• Orients staff to equipment and procedures.
• Serves as a role model to OR techs and students.
• Upholds MetroHealth System mission, vision, values, and customer service standards.
