Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an Operating Room Technician to perform duties in the OR, maintain cleanliness and efficiency, and support patient care from neonate to geriatric through assigned duties.

The role will orient staff to equipment and procedures, serve as a role model to other technicians and students, and uphold the MetroHealth System's mission, values, and customer service standards. Biweekly hours are 80 with variable shifts across day/evening/night.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by NBSTSA.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs various duties in the operating room.
• Maintains the cleanliness and efficiency of operating room services.
• Performs limited neonate through geriatric patient care services.
• Orients employees to equipment and procedures.
• Serves as a role model to other operating room technicians and students.
