Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room by ensuring instruments, equipment and supplies are set up based on procedure and physician preference card
• Maintain a sterile field throughout procedures following Universal Precautions and aseptic techniques
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments and supplies quickly and accurately
• Handle instruments and equipment per manufacturer instructions and hospital policy including inspection, cleaning and sterilization
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transfer under RN supervision to ensure safety and readiness
• Support maintenance and accuracy of physician preference cards and procedural documentation
• Restock supplies and prepare rooms for subsequent cases to ensure OR efficiency
• Comply with policies and standards and maintain reliable attendance
