Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, is seeking an Operating Room Tech to prepare sterile supplies, maintain sterile field, and hand instruments to the surgeon during procedures.

Ideal candidates include a high school diploma, ORT training or equivalent, and current BLS; at least 3 years surgical experience preferred. The position is part-time with night shifts and offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General and Plastics).
• Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty surgical areas (ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro, etc.).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $26.56 to $30.31 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
