Job Summary and Qualifications

• Support patient care in the perioperative setting by assisting surgeons and nursing staff before, during, and after surgery. Make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives in a fast-paced environment focused on clinical excellence.

What You Will Do In This Role

• Create and maintain the sterile field.
• Prepare the Operating Room: set up instruments, position patients, assist with gloves and gowns.
• Assist the surgical team: pass instruments, fluids, supplies, hold retractors, prepare equipment.
• Apply proper counting techniques for instruments, sponges, tools.
• Assist with patient transport and transfer.
• Follow safety procedures and principles at all times.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
• Minimum 1-year Certified Surgical Technician experience.
• Certification as CST or equivalent (NCCT, vocational school, work experience, or certificate).
