Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. The role supports safe, age-appropriate patient care under the nurse in charge and assists with moderate to high acuity cases.

The position requires a Surgical Technology credential or associate degree, National certification, and BLS. Shift: FT Days with Call at Cobb Hospital/ Barrett Surgical Center, with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• Certificate or associate degree in Surgical Technology.
• National certification required (NBSTSA/NCCT).
• BLS certification required.
• English language proficiency as part of communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operative suite and sterile field for safe patient care.
• Pass instruments to surgeon and maintain organized back table.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with draping and suction as needed.
• Stock supplies and assist with room turnover and instrument sterilization.
