Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, is seeking an Operating Room Tech for a full-time Day shift. You will prepare sterile supplies and instruments, maintain the sterile field, and assist the surgeon during procedures in a fast-paced surgical department.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, ORT training or 3 years surgical experience, and current BLS certification. Prior scrub experience in multiple surgical specialties is preferred, with duties aligned to patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General, Plastics).
• Experience scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty areas (ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro, etc.).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure.
• Maintain sterile field during cases and provide surgeon with supplies and instruments during procedures.

Education
