Medical City Lewisville is hiring a Surgical Technician Coordinator‑ Ortho‑Spine to support the surgical team in a full‑time day shift. The role involves preparing the surgical suite, handling instruments, and assisting during orthopedic procedures with a strong emphasis on patient safety and efficiency.

You will work closely with experienced surgeons and staff, ensuring sterile technique and timely turnover.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date
• ST/CST/TS-C certification or equivalent
• Certificate or Vocational School Graduate
• 2 years clinical experience in Orthopedic and Spine service line required

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping
• Scrub in and hand instruments to the surgical team; anticipate needs
• Monitor patients and equipment; respond to concerns promptly
• Uphold sterile technique, turnover rooms efficiently, support a collaborative team environment

Your responsibilities will include

• Setting up and maintaining the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment to ensure safe, seamless procedures
• Assisting with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while prioritizing comfort, privacy, and safety
• Scrubbing in and partnering with the surgical team by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the team’s needs
• Monitoring patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures, responding promptly and effectively to any concerns

What qualifications you will need
